Kiyosaki plays on his audience’s naivety and its craving to have its own prejudices confirmed, with storytelling anyone can follow. And it is far more entertaining and catchy than real, accepted economic theory, which is dry and boring as hell.

The problem is that his bullshit gets recycled by plenty of other courses, in the US but in France too. Repeat the same claims often enough and the falsehoods become true, then get used to sell yet more courses, promising to free you from the rat race, to give you financial independence, to make you free. All fuzzy notions that flirt with cult-like drift, and sometimes even with illegal practices. All the more so since, by the admission of several French course sellers, the share of people who actually take action, meaning actually invest, is under 5% of those who buy the course.
