CEX short for centralized exchange, a crypto trading platform run by a company. In a world that promised to do away with intermediaries, it is the name of the intermediaries.

KYC short for know your customer. The checks a bank or an exchange must carry out before opening an account: ID document, selfie, proof of address. Provided the papers are genuine.

OTC short for over the counter. Deals struck directly between 2 parties, without going through an exchange's order book. That is where large amounts are negotiated.

Bridges services that move crypto from one blockchain to another, from Ethereum to Tron for example. The money goes in on one side and an equivalent amount comes out on the other, at a new address. For anyone following the money, the trail switches ledgers at every crossing.
